She received her B.Sc. from McMaster University and a B.Ed. from the University of Toronto. She came to O.T.S. to better prepare herself for Youth and Christian Education ministry. She is presently working as the Christian Education director at Stoney Creek Alliance Church. LINDA NICHOLLS Linda, after receiving her B.Mus. and B.A. from University of Toronto, went to Mussoorie, India to teach for 5 years at Woodstock Inter- national Christian School. She came to O.T.S. to fulfill a desire for theo- logical education while she readjusted to Canadian life. After graduation, she will be studying at Wycliffe College, in the M.Div. program and applying to the Anglican Church for acceptance as a candidate for the ministry. FRANK WEYER Frank's hometown is Barrie. He received his B.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University and then came to O.T.S. with the desire of inte- grating his Christian faith with his preparation for work in the business world. He is hoping to find a job in chartered accountancy. [ Heading 6d ] MASTER OF THEOLOGICAL STUDIES MARGARET ASKEY Margaret grew up in Zambia and lived in London before coming to Toronto to study at O.T.S. She has a B.Sc.N. from the University of Western Ontario. She came to O.T.S. because she wanted a deeper understanding of God in order to tackle the challenges in her life, in her profession and in the church. After graduation, she will be returning to nursing full time. MARY BROGDEN Mary comes from St. Catharines, Ontario. She received her B.A. from McGill University and felt directed to O.T.S. through contact with friends and the ministry of Jim Vold in her church in Montreal. Her purpose has been preparation for full-time Christian work. In the future she antici- pates overseas missionary work, by gaining a good basis in biblical languages and in theological studies. Immediately after graduation she hopes to gain some experience in full-time ministry here in Canada. CATHY BROWN Cathy received her B.Sc. from the University of Toronto and then came to O.T.S. as a result of a long-standing desire for some theological training. After graduation she may work for a year or two and then possibly enter the Salvation Army College for officers or possibly on to more education in counselling/teaching. NICK COX Nick is originally from Deep River and his purpose in coming to O.T.S. was to get a better scriptural background in many areas. Nick hopes to get a job in Geology in which he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario. JIM FRASER Jim Fraser came to O.T.S. after receiving the degree of B. of Comm, from the University of Guelph. He came to O.T.S. to be equipped bib- lically and to prepare for a teaching ministry founded on the Word of God. He feels that God is leading him into the pastorate. HERNANDO HERNANDEZ Hernando came to O.T.S. after finishing his B.A. at the University of Quindio in social sciences. The Lord put a burden on his heart to proclaim His truth to university students. He realized that he needed theological training in order to equip himself for a ministry on the national level. Hernando will be returning to Colombia in June of this year to do work with I.F.E.S. (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students). He has also been invited to do some teaching at the Protestant Seminary in Medillin. [Page Seven] LINDA KIROPOULOS Linda is from Toronto and received her B. A. from the Uni- versity of Toronto. She came to O.T.S. out of her desire for theological training and an Interest in biblical languages. After receiving her M.T.S. she will either be doing a year of Teachers' College or working for a year and then pursuing further graduate studies. LARRY LAU Larry is from Toronto and received his B.Sc. from the University of Toronto. After graduation, he hopes to work in a church or related min- istry and to continue his studies towards his Master of Divinity degree. SANDRA LIN Sandra came from Taiwan in 1979. Before coming to O.T.S. she studied at Carleton University and received her M.Sc. degree. She came to O.T.S. to better understand God and His Word and to be equipped for ministry. Sandra is looking forward to serving among students in Southeast Asia with Overseas Missionary Fellowship. CATHERINE McCOLL Catherine is from Toronto and received her B.A. from Ryerson. She hoped, in coming to O.T.S., to gain biblical knowledge for practical use in work, evangelism and the church. In the future, Catherine is planning to go on for further studies to receive her M.A. in Social work. TIMOTHY MEDHURST Tim came to O.T.S. with a B.Th. from Ontario Bible College, a B. A. from University of Waterloo and graduate credit from Regent College . He will continue in his pastoral ministry at Sunrise Baptist Church, London. GEOFF OPREL Geoff received a B.A. degree from Wilfrid Laurier and came to O.T.S. to complete theological studies begun at Westminster Theological Sem- inary. He hoped to gain a greater understanding of the Scriptures and how they apply to modern man. He also wanted to develop his ability t0 communi- cate the gospel and to strengthen and deepen his own personal faith. WILSON PETERS Wilson is originally from Bangalore, India. He receive his G.Th . from Hindusthan Bible College and his B.A. from Bethel College, Indiana. Wilson came to O.T.S. to study God's Word and prepare for church ministry. He is presently involved in Harvest Ministries at Banfield Memorial Church. SIRPA POLKKI Sirpa, along with her husband John, is originally from Finland. She received her B.R.E. from Ontario Bible College and came to O.T.S. to equip herself for ministry. This summer she plans to do research for the Multi-cultural History Society of Ontario. In the fall, she antici- pates full-time ministry in the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. CECIL VINCENT A graduate of the West Indies School of Theology and of O.B.C., Cecil came to O.T.S. to prepare for a teaching ministry in his alma mater. Last Fall, Cecil and his family returned to Trinidad. He is presently active teaching and developing new courses at the West Indies School of Theology. [ Heading 6e ] MASTER OF DIVINITY PROGRAM PAUL FRIESEN Before coming to O.T.S., Paul received his B.A. from Victoria College at the University of Toronto. As a part of his field education, he became involved in the Scarborough Baptist Church working with the youth and serving as a deacon. Paul has been accepted at Harvard in the Th.M. in Church History. PETER HAMBREY Peter is from Guelph and he decided to come to O.T.S. after receiving his B.Sc. and Ph.D., from the University of Manchester. He sensed God's leading to concentrate more on the ministry of the Word of God rather than Bio-Chemistry. He intends to be involved in pastoral work after gradua- tion but has nothing lined up as of yet. [Page Eight] PETER KLASSEN Prior to coming to O.T.S., Peter was a pastor of a Mennonite Brethren Church near Orillia for 14 years. His purpose in coming to O.T.S. was to be mentally and spiritually challenged and to "sharpen his tools" as a pastor in the areas of biblical exegesis and preaching. Peter will be going on to a church in Swift Current, Saskatchewan to serve as their senior pastor. Peter came to O.T.S. with a B.Th. from Mennonite Brethren Bible College, and a B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University. MALCOLM MacINNES Malcolm is from Agincourt, Ontario, and has been involved in the Continuing Education Program. He received his M.A. from Edinburgh University of Scotland and became a pastor of a Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland in Toronto in 1977. He came to O.T.S. for Bible-centred teaching. Malcolm plans to continue his pastoral ministry. GREG MALES Greg came from London, Ontario to do studies with us. Since Greg became a Christian, he felt a keen desire to enter biblical studies and then, after that, to enter the ministry. Upon graduation, Greg will be the pastor of Poplar Hill Christian Church, which is about 15 miles west of London. JAMES McBETH Jim is from London, Ontario and he received his B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. He came to O.T.S. to receive training in the pastoral ministry. He will be working as Assistant Pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church here in Toronto after graduation. JOHN POLKKI John completed his B.R.E. at Ontario Bible College and came to O.T.S. for further training. After graduation, John anticipates a full-time pastoral position in the fall with the Pentecostal church. Eventually he and his wife, Sirpa, hope to be involved in overseas Christian Education work with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. PHIL RALPH Phil's home is in Weston, Ontario. After completing his B.Th. from Ontario Bible College, he felt that he needed further training to facil- itate a more practical and comprehensive ministry. Phil is heading towards the pastoral ministry, and eventually hopes to go on and receive his M.A. in Church History. EUNICE SMITH Eunice has served as a missionary in Ecuador for the past 25 years. She hopes to go to Mexico, along with her family, to do church planting and pastoral training. The Lord brought her to the city and gave her time to finish the work that she has been working on for some time on a part-time basis. Eunice received her B.R.E. from Canadian Bible College, and her M.Miss. at Canadian Theological College in Regina. DAVID STEWART Before coming to O.T.S., David received a B.Th. from the Canadian Bible College, and became a pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. His purpose in coming to O.T.S. was to deepen his theologi- cal knowledge, language skills and awareness of the contemporary theological issues and a biblical response to them. He will remain as pastor of the C.M.A. church in Niagara Falls and hopes to continue his education through pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree. STANLEY WALKER Stan received his B.Th. from O.B.C. in 1977 and is presently pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in St. Catharines. He came to O.T.S. to fur- ther his education in biblical studies and pastoral ministry. JACOB ZABLON KIBOR Jacob finished his B.Th. at Ontario Bible College and Scott Theological College in Kenya. He is presently in Kenya teaching Biblical Studies and Theology at Scott Theological College. Jacob was married on April 2 of this year. ***** This is the end of the e-text.
