McRae, Chancellor Stephen A. Roy, Registrar John H. Wilkinson,VP, Academic Dean, College John A. Vissers, VP, Academic Dean, Seminary PRAYER OF DEDICATION William J. McRae [ Verse 1 ] Our God and Father, we pray for the witness of your Word throughout Canada and around the world: that it will be spoken with clarity and power, that the life of your Son will fill and transform lives, that those called by your Name will love each other, and that this love will proclaim to others that indeed we are yours. [ Verse 2 ] We thank you Lord for the ministry this year at the College and Seminary: for times of worship, celebration and prayer; for guest speakers who stirred our hearts to love you more, for classes, studies and personal discipline, for peers and professors who engaged our minds, and for moments when we struggled to know you better. [ Verse 3 ] We praise you for the setting in which our training took place: for those who cleaned our floors and for those who prepared our meals, for those who governed and for those who administered, for those who supported through prayers and gifts, for our parents and spouses, families and loved ones, and all who helped to make this day possible. [ Verse 4 ] As we go forth into the world, with its challenges and opportunities, we walk in faith and live by trust, with these final words of request: we will to know you in the fellowship of your suffering; we ask that you hold us by your strong arm; we invite your Spirit to pervade and fill our lives, so that our thoughts, words, and deeds will be empowered by you, to the end that we will hear your words, "Well done, my child, enter into the joy of your salvation." Amen. [Page 4 of 16] OFFERTORY Larry N. Willard, VP Advancement Brass Ensemble BENEDICTION Vere Stafford Carrington (Tony) Tyndale, Chancellor-elect RECESSIONAL (please stand) Lead On, O King Eternal [ Verse 1 ] Lead on, O King Eternal. The day of march has come; Henceforth in fields of conquest Thy tents shall be our home: Thro’ days of preparation Thy grace has made us strong, And now, O King Eternal, We lift our battle song. [ Verse 2 ] Lead on, O King Eternal, Till sin’s fierce war shall cease, And holiness shall whisper The sweet Amen of peace; For not the swords’ loud clashing, Or roll of stirring drums; With deeds of love and mercy The heav’nly Kingdom comes. [ Verse 3 ] Lead on, O King Eternal. We follow, not with fears; For gladness breaks like morning Where’er Thy face appears; Thy cross is lifted o’er us; We journey in its light: The crown awaits the conquest; Lead on, O God of might.
