Later known as Toronto Bible College, it merged with the London College of Bible and Missions in 1968 to become Ontario Bible College. The Seminary was established in 1976 to offer graduate theological education. In 1998, the name Tyndale was assumed, honouring William Tyndale (1494-1536), the early English reformer whose commitment to making Scripture available to all persons led him to undertake the first English translation of the Bible. He is a model for scholarship, faith, and vision. In 2003, Tyndale was accorded university college status by the Province of Ontario. In 2007, Tyndale received approval from the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and from the Ontario College of Teachers to offer a Bachelor of Education program. The Seminary's graduate degrees, including the Doctor of Ministry degree, are accredited by The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS). In 2007, Tyndale purchased the Morrow Park property from the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto. Tyndale is an evangelical, transdenominational school with more than 12,900 alumni. She was cared for by a hard-working single mother and her grandparents, all of whom loved the Lord. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she was challenged with many health issues that ultimately led to her leaving high school, her dream of a university education no Longer seeming possible. God, however, had a plan. In place of university, God gave her the privilege of six beautiful children, each one a miracle. While raising them, Angela fed her appetite for learning by continuing to read voraciously. As her children grew, she served as a youth leader at her church, pursued two college certificates, and began volunteering in classrooms at her children's school. Combining these experiences with her love of history, she developed her own program for delivering history to grades 7 and 8, and was given the chance to pilot it. It was then that she discovered the unique fulfillment she found in teaching. In 2014, two of her former students came to visit, while they were attending Tyndale University. Knowing that university had once been part of Angela's dreams, they encouraged her to contact Tyndale Admissions about whether or not that dream might now become a reality. Through a series of incredible blessings, God made it possible for her to begin pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in History. Through the support of family, friends, and the encouragement of her professors at Tyndale, she is graduating today having achieved the university education so longed for, and looking forward to beginning Tyndale's Bachelor of Education program this July. She stands amazed at the way God has loved and provided for her, and the way in which God has heard and answered the whispers of her heart.
