I to the Hills Will Lift Mine Eyes [Verse 1] I TO the hills will lift mine eyes, From whence doth come mine aid. My safety cometh from the Lord, Who heaven and earth hath made. [Verse 2] Thy foot he'll not let slide, nor will He slumber that thee keeps. Behold, he that keeps Israel, He slumbers not, nor sleeps. [Verse 3] The Lord thee keeps, the Lord thy shade On thy right hand doth stay : The moon by night thee shall not smite, Nor yet the sun by day. [Verse 4] The Lord shall keep thy soul ; he shall Preserve thee from all ill. Henceforth thy going out and in God keep for ever will. [Heading 2.1.b] 2. Glorious Things of Thee are Spoken [Verse 1] GLORIOUS things of thee are spoken, Zion, city of our God : He whose word cannot be broken Formed thee for His own abode. On the Rock of Ages founded, What can shake thy sure repose? With salvation's walls surrounded, Thou may'st [ still ] smile at all thy foes. [Verse 2] See the streams of living waters, Springing from eternal love. Well supply thy sons and daughters, And all fear of want remove, Round each habitation hovering, See, the cloud and fire appear For a glory and a covering, Showing that the Lord is near. [Verse 3] Saviour ! if of Zion's city I, through grace, a member am, Let the world deride or pity, I will glory in Thy name. Fading is the worldling's pleasure All his boasted pomp and show; Solid joys and lasting treasure None but Zion's children know. [Heading 2.1.c] 3. Help Me O Lord [Verse 1] HELP me, O Lord, the God of my salvation! I have no hope, no refuge, but in Thee : Help me to make this perfect consecration. In life or death Thine evermore to be. [Verse 2] Help me, O Lord, to keep my pledge unbroken ! Guard Thou my ways, my thoughts, my tongue, my heart ; Help me to trust the word which Thou has spoken, That from Thy paths my feet may ne'er depart. [Verse 3] Help me, O Lord ! My strength is only weakness Thine thine the power by which alone I live : Help me each day to bear the cross with meekness, Till Thou at last the promised crown shall give. Your presence with us gives us the opportunity to tell you something about the College. We are happy to report that the Session which closes this evening has been a most successful one, with 324 students registered in the full-time Three Years' Course and 418 enrolled in the Evening Classes. To-night 69 young men and women will be graduated from the Regular Course and 23 will receive Evening Class certificates. Many of these young people have offered themselves for full-time Christian service in various vocations at home and abroad, and some have already been accepted by Mission Boards. You will agree that in the present world conflict, and the recon- struction period that should follow, we must put into our effort all our spiritual forces and resources. To this end, the work that the College is doing in training young men and women for Christian life and service in Canada, the British Empire, and the non-Christian world is of vital importance, perhaps more so than ever before. You may not know that the College depends upon the voluntary support of those who value its work, and no tuition fees are required from the students. A registration fee of only Ten Dollars is paid (Evening Course, Four Dollars), thus enabling all who feel called to Christian service to take advantage of the special training which the College provides. The increase in students attending the College in recent years has been much greater than the growth of income. We therefore seek new friends who by their prayers and gifts will help to carry on this ministry. We earnestly invite you to share in this enterprise and opportunity, and for your convenience a slip is appended hereto. Any gift you feel led to make, whether great or small, will be gratefully acknowledged by the Treasurer. Our Annual Report will be sent to any friend who desires to receive an account of our stewardship. On behalf of the Board of Governors, JOHN WESTREN Treasurer E. G.
