Crown Him with Many Crowns [Verse 1] Crown Him with many crowns. The Lamb upon His throne: Hark, how the heavenly anthem drowns All music but its own! Awake, my soul, and sing Of Him who died for thee, And hail Him as thy matchless King Through all eternity. [Verse 2] Crown Him the Lord of life Who triumphed o'er [ over ] the grave, And rose victorious in the strife For those He came to save. His glories now we sing Who died and rose on high. Who died eternal life to bring, And lives that death may die. [Verse 3] Crown Him the Lord of peace, Whose power a sceptre sways From pole to pole, that wars may cease, Absorbed in prayer and praise. His reign shall know no end; And round His pierced feet Fair flowers of Paradise extend Their fragrance ever sweet. [Heading 2.1.b] 2.Hymn Selections [Heading 2.1.b.i] 1. Unto the hills around do I lift up My longing eyes: O whence for me shall my salvation come, From whence arise? From God the Lord doth come my certain aid, From God the Lord who heaven and earth hath made. [Verse 2] From every evil shall He keep thy soul, From every sin: Jehovah shall preserve thy going out, Thy coming in. Above thee watching. He whom we adore Shall keep thee henceforth, yea, for evermore. [Heading 2.1.b.ii] 2. We have heard a joyful sound, — Jesus saves! Spread the gladness all around: Jesus saves! Bear the news to every land, Climb the steeps and cross the waves; Onward! — 'tis our Lord's command. Jesus saves! [Verse 2] Sing above the battle's strife, Jesus saves! By His death and endless life Jesus saves! Sing it softly through the gloom. When the heart for mercy craves; Sing in triumph o'er [ over ] the tomb, Jesus saves! [ PAGE THREE - There are two hymns in this page namely: parts of the "Hymn Selections" and "Help Me, O Lord" ] [Heading 2.1] THE HYMNS [Heading 2.1.b.iii] 3. Jesus, Lover of my soul, Let me to Thy bosom fly, While the nearer waters roll, While the tempest still is high: Hide me, O my Saviour, hide Till the storm of life is past; Safe into the haven guide; O receive my soul at last! [Verse 2] Plenteous grace with Thee is found, Grace to cover all my sin; Let the healing streams abound; Make and keep me pure within. Thou of life the fountain art. Freely let me take of Thee; Spring Thou up within my heart. Rise to all eternity. [Heading 2.1.b.iv] 4. O for a thousand tongues to sing My dear Redeemer's praise, The glories of my God and King, The triumphs of His grace! [Verse 2] My gracious Master and my God, Assist me to proclaim, To spread through all the earth abroad The honours of Thy Name. [Heading 2.1.b.v] 5. Jesus shall reign where'er [ wherever ] the sun Does his successive journeys run; His Kingdom stretch from shore to shore. Till moons shall wax and wane no more. [Verse 2] Blessings abound where'er [ wherever ] He reigns: The prisoner leaps to lose his chains; The weary find eternal rest. And all the sons of want are blest. [Heading 2.1.c] 3. Help Me, O Lord [Verse 1] Help me, O Lord, the God of my salvation! I have no hope, no refuge, but in Thee; Help me to make this perfect consecration, In life or death Thine evermore to be. [Verse 2] Help me, O Lord, to keep my pledge unbroken! Guard Thou my ways, my thoughts, my tongue, my heart; Help me to trust the word which Thou hast spoken, That from Thy paths my feet may ne'er [ never ] depart. [Verse 3] Help me, O Lord! My strength is only weakness, Thine, thine the power by which alone I live; Help me each day to bear the cross with meekness. Till Thou at last the promised crown shall give.
