CROWN HIM WITH MANY CROWNS [Verse 1] Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne: Hark, how the heavenly anthem drowns All music but its own! Awake, my soul, and sing Of Him who died for thee, And hail Him as thy matchless King Through all eternity. [Verse 2] Crown Him the Lord of life. Who triumphed o'er [ over ] the grave, And rose victorious in the strife For those He came to save. His glories now we sing Who died and rose on high, Who died eternal life to bring. And lives that death may die. [Verse 3] Crown Him the Lord of love; Behold His hands and side. Rich wounds yet visible above, In beauty glorified. All hail, Redeemer, hail! For Thou hast died for me: Thy praise shall never, never fail Throughout eternity. [Heading 2.1.b] 2. LEAD ON, O KING ETERNAL [Verse 1] Lead on, O King Eternal: The day of march has come; Henceforth in fields of conquest Thy tents shall be our home: Through days of preparation Thy grace has made us strong; And now, O King Eternal, We lift our battle-song. [Verse 2] Lead on, O King Eternal, Till sin's fierce war shall cease, And holiness shall whisper The sweet Amen of peace; For not with swords loud clashing Nor roll of stirring drums. But deeds of love and mercy, The heavenly Kingdom comes. [Verse 3] Lead on, O King Eternal: We follow, not with fears; For gladness breaks like morning Where'er [ Wherever ] Thy face appears : Thy Cross is lifted o'er [ over ] us; We journey in its light; The crown awaits the conquest; Lead on, God of might. [ PAGE THREE ] [Heading 2.1.c] 3. GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH [Verse 1] Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah, Pilgrim through this barren land; I am weak, but Thou art mighty; Hold me with Thy powerful hand; Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more. [Verse 2] Open now the crystal fountain, Whence the healing stream doth flow; Let the fire and cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey through : Strong Deliverer, Be Thou still my strength and shield. [Verse 3] When I tread the verge of Jordan, Bid my anxious fears subside; Death of death, and hell's Destruction Land me safe on Canaan's side; Songs of praises I will ever give to Thee. [Heading 2.2] THE MESSAGE April 30th, 1953. To the Friends of T.B.C., For 59 years young people have come to T.B.C. for Christian training. What has brought them? Not spectacular advertising, not the promise of well-paid jobs, not the hope of recognition. But they have come from an insistent desire to know God's Word better and with a deep-rooted conviction of their responsibility towards the multitudes who have never heard Christ's Name. In order that no deserving young person shall be turned away they are required to meet only 20% of the cost of their training. For the other 80% we look to the Lord, Who meets our need through faithful prayer- partners and interested friends. We warmly thank all of you who share in this ministry, and we should be glad to welcome still others into our fellowship. Will you help us to "hold forth the Word of Life" ? On behalf of the Board of Governors, G. G. Richardson Treasurer Wm. Inrig President [ PAGE FOUR ] [Heading 2.3] THE PROGRAMME The National Anthem, preceded by choral prayer for the Queen's Coronation Hymn No. 1: "Crown Him with Many Crowns" "Diademata" - ELVEY Scripture Reading and Prayer: — Rev.
