PRAISE, MY SOUL, THE KING OF HEAVEN [Verse 1] Praise, my soul, the King of heaven: To His feet thy tribute bring; Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, Who like thee His praise shall sing? Praise Him. praise Him. Praise Him. praise Him! Praise the everlasting King! [Verse 2] Father-like He tends and spares us Well our feeble frame He knows; In His hands He gently bears us, Rescues us from all our foes: Praise Him! praise Him! Praise Him! praise Him! Widely as His mercy flows. [Verse 3] Angels, help us to adore Him, Ye behold Him face to face! Sun and moon, bow down before Him! Dwellers all in time and space, Praise Him! praise Him! Praise Him! praise Him! Praise with Us the God of grace! [Heading 2.1.b] 2. LOOK, YE SAINTS! [Verse 1] Look, ye saints! the sight is glorious; See the Man of Sorrows now; From the fight returned victorious. Every knee to Him shall bow: Crown Him! crown Him! Crowns become the Victor's brow. [Verse 2] Crown the Saviour! angels, crown Him! Rich the trophies Jesus brings; In the seat of power enthrone Him, While the vault of heaven rings : Crown Him ! crown Him ! Crown the Saviour King of kings. [Verse 3] Hark, those bursts of acclamation! Hark, those loud triumphant chords! Jesus takes the highest station: O, what joy the sight affords! Crown Him! crown Him King of kings, and Lord of lords! [ PAGE THREE ] [Heading 2.1] THE HYMNS [Heading 2.1.c] 3. HELP ME, O LORD [Verse 1] Help me, O Lord, the God of my salvation! I have no hope, no refuge, but in Thee; Help me to make this perfect consecration, In life or death Thine evermore to be. [Verse 2] Help me, O Lord, to keep my pledge unbroken! Guard Thou my ways, my thoughts, my tongue, my heart; Help me to trust the word which Thou hast spoken, That from Thy paths my feet may ne'er [ never ]depart. [Verse 3] Help me, Lord! My strength is only weakness; Thine, Thine the power by which alone I live; Help me each day to bear the cross with meekness, Till Thou at last the promised crown shalt give. [Heading 2.2] THE MESSAGE To the Friends of T.B.C. This evening's exercises mark the completion of sixty years' ministry in training young men and women for Christian service. The influence of this training has been worldwide. More than 900 former students and graduates serve the cause of Christ in the homelands and in over 40 foreign countries. The College offers a thorough course of study preparatory to Christian service in which the Bible is "the regulating centre." In their senior years students may elect options that are offered in the field of Missions, of Pastoral Work or of Christian Education. The College offers comprehensive training in practical work over a wide field of Christian activity, including hospital evangelism, rescue mission work, industrial preaching. Who undertakes the support of this student ministry basic to home and foreign service alike? The students themselves contribute 20% through registration fees. The other 80% is met by the Lord through the faithful prayer-partners and interested friends. Will you join this partnership and help us to "hold forth the Word of Life?" On behalf of the Board of Governors, WM. INRIG, President [ PAGE FOUR ] [Heading 2.3] THE PROGRAMME The National Anthem Hymn No. 1: "Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven" Scripture Reading and Prayer: — Rev. Andrew MacBeath, M.A., B.D.
