GLORY TO GOD ON HIGH! [Verse 1] Glory to God on high! Let heaven and earth reply, "Praise ye His name!" His love and grace adore, Who all our sorrows bore; Sing loud for evermore, "Worthy the Lamb!" [Verse 2] While they around the throne Cheerfully join in one, Praising His name, — Ye who have felt His blood Sealing your peace with God. Sound His dear name abroad! "Worthy the Lamb!" [Verse 3] What though we change our place, Yet we shall never cease Praising His name ; Praising His name: To Him our songs we bring, Hail Him our gracious King, And without ceasing sing, "Worthy the Lamb!" [Heading 2.1.b] 2. HAIL TO THE LORD'S ANOINTED [Verse 1] Hail to the Lord's Anointed, Great David's greater Son ; Hail in the time appointed, His reign on earth begun! He comes to break oppression. To set the captive free ; To take away transgression. And rule in equity. [Verse 2] He shall come down like showers Upon the fruitful earth : And love, joy, hope, like flowers, Spring in His path to birth. Before Him on the mountains Shall Peace, the herald, go; And righteousness in fountains From hill to valley flow. [Verse 3] For Him shall prayer unceasing. And daily vows ascend; His kingdom still increasing, A kingdom without end. The tide of time shall never His covenant remove; His Name shall stand for ever, That Name to us is — Love! [ PAGE THREE ] [Heading 2.1.c] 3. HELP ME, O LORD [Verse 1] Help me, O Lord, the God of my salvation! I have no hope, no refuge but in Thee; Help me to make this perfect consecration, In life or death Thine evermore to be. [Verse 2] Help me, O Lord, to keep my pledge unbroken ! Guard Thou my ways, my thoughts, my tongue, my heart; Help me to trust thie word which Thou hast spoken, That from Thy paths my feet may ne'er [ never ] depart. [Verse 3] Help me, O Lord, when sore temptations press me ! Oh, lift the clouds that hide Thee from my sight! Help me, O Lord, when anxious cares distress me. To look beyond, where all is calm and bright. [Verse 4] Help me, O Lord! My strength is only weakness; Thine, Thine the power by which alone I live; Help me each day to bear the cross with meekness. Till Thou at last the promised crown shalt give. [Heading 2.2] THE MESSAGE [ The words "The Message" is in the middle of two lines, top and bottom of the words. ] To Our Friends: Young men and women with a desire for Christian service, graduate each year from the Toronto Bible College, and join the family of T.B.C. Alumni now serving the Lord in almost every country of the world. The importance of the Bible training course of T.B.C. cannot be over-emphasized. It is more apparent in our times than ever before. E. K. Simpson, M.A., a distinguished graduate of Trinity College, Oxford, writing recently to Dr. John McNicol comments favourably about "the maintained reputation of Toronto Bible College." He mentions its "steadfastness to the Word of God, giving to the student body that full assurance of the validity of the one authentic revelation from on high. " Wherever the graduates of the College will minister at home or abroad, thev will teach sound doctrine and, in the power of the Holy Spirit, will be used of God to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and draw men and women to Him. The expanding program of Toronto Bible College envisages residence for students, an increased faculty, an honour degree course, an enlarged library. You are already aware of the fact that we look to the Lord to influence His people to support and maintain the ministry of the College. It is the freewill gifts of God's people that make it possible. You can render additional service by using your personal influence to encourage young people to plan for a Bible study course at T.B.C. Let us consider this magnificent work in the heart of our country as "our task" until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. On behalf of the Board of Governors, WM. INRIG, President.
