TO GOD BE THE GLORY! [Verse 1] To God be the glory! great things He hath done: So loved He the world that He gave us His Son; Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, And opened the Life-gate that all may go in. Chorus: Praise the Lord! praise the Lord! Let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord! praise the Lord! Let the people rejoice! Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son; And give Him the glory — great things He hath done! [Verse 2] O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, To every believer the promise of God; The vilest offender who truly believes. That moment from Jesus a pardon receives. [Verse 3] Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done, And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son; But purer, and higher, and greater will be Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see. [Heading 2.1.b] 2. GLORY TO GOD ON HIGH! [Verse 1] Glory to God on high! Let heaven and earth reply, "Praise ye His name!" His love and grace adore. Who all our sorrows bore; Sing loud for evermore, "Worthy the Lamb!" [Verse 2] While they around the throne Cheerfully join in one, Praising His name, — Ye who have felt His blood Sealing your peace with God, Sound His dear name abroad! "Worthy the Lamb!" [Verse 3] What though we change our place. Yet we shall never cease Praising His name; To Him our songs we bring, Hail Him our gracious ELing, And without ceasing sing, "Worthy the Lamb!" [ PAGE THREE ] [Heading 2.2] The Message To Our Friends: There are hundreds of Toronto Bible College Alumni scattered all over the world. For more than sixty years graduates of the College have been going into the mission fields at home and abroad. As ambassadors of the Lord Jesus, they went into the heathen darkness of Africa, deep into the interior of China, down into South America, to India, and the Isles of the Sea. They went up into the hinterland of our own country. Indeed, wherever people did sit in darkness, the graduates of Toronto Bible College have carried "THE LIGHT", the glorious Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The signal ministry of training on the part of T.B.C. has been shared by the many friends of the College. The principle of cooperation operates today, as ever, even as the Apostle Paul declared: some servants of the Lord have planted, and some have watered; but God has given the increase. "For we are labourers together with God." Looking back over the past, we can testify, saying, "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us". He has made all things work together for our good. Taking cognizance of things present, at the College, there is much evidence of a deep spiritual tone, a student body of young people of ability — intelligent and consecrated; a strong faculty, spiritually sound, and commendably high in academic qualifications. Looking into the unknown future, we confidently lay hold upon God. He is Lord of all. "We walk by faith, not by sight." We will extol Him our God and King, and will bless His name for ever and ever. On behalf of the Board of Governors, WM. INRIG, President. [Heading 2.3] 3. HELP ME, O LORD! [Verse 1] Help me, O Lord, the God of my salvation! I have no hope, no refuge but in Thee; Help me to make this perfect consecration. In life or death Thine evermore to be. [Verse 2] Help me, O Lord, to keep my pledge unbroken! Guard Thou my ways, my thoughts, my tongue, my heart; Help me to trust the word which Thou hast spoken, That from Thy paths my feet may ne'er [ never ] depart. [Verse 3] Help me, O Lord, when sore temptations press me! Oh, lift the clouds that hide Thee from my sight! Help me, O Lord, when anxious cares distress me, To look beyond, where all is calm and bright. [Verse 4] Help me, O Lord! My strength is only weakness; Thine, Thine the power by which alone I live; Help me each day to bear the cross with meekness, Till Thou at last the promised crown shalt give.
