Help us to praise: Father, all glorious, O'er [ over ] all victorious, Come, and reign over us. Ancient of Days. [Verse 2] Come, Thou Incarnate Word, Gird on Thy mighty sword, Our prayer attend: Come, and Thy people bless, And give Thy Word success; Spirit of holiness, On us descend. [Verse 3] Come, Holy Comforter, Thy sacred witness bear In this glad hour: Thou Who almighty art, Now rule in every heart. And ne'er [ never ] from us depart, Spirit of power. [Verse 3] To the great One in Three, Eternal praises be Hence evermore. His sovereign majesty, May we in glory see, And to eternity, Love and adore. [Heading 2.1.b] 2. When I survey the wondrous cross [Verse 1] When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of Glory died. My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride. [Verse 2] Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ my God: All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood. [Verse 3] See! from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled clown! Did e'er [ ever ] such love and sorrow meet. Or thorns compose so rich a crown? [Verse 4] Were the whole realm of nature mine. That were an offering far too small: Love so amazing, so divine. Demands my soul, my life, my all. [ PAGE THREE ] [Heading 2.2] To Our Friends... It is an excellent experience to be in contact with the life and work of Toronto Bible College. Two hundred Christian young men and women pack into every day a throbbing interest that is very refreshing. The Principal and his faculty members respond every morning to a challenging array of keenly intelligent members of the student body; students who have recognized the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives, and who are preparing themselves for Christian service at home or abroad. It may be in a manse or behind a pulpit in some Canadian assignment. It may be far behind the jungle or the arid plain. The T.B.C. graduate has been trained to carry out successfully the great commission of our Lord. A story has been recently received from the Philippine Islands where a Toronto Bible College Alumnus dared to pray "Lord, if it is Thy will that a corn of wheat must fall into the ground and die that more souls in this area may live, I am ready to make that sacrifice". The full details of the story have filled our hearts with praise to God for the fulness of blessing which He has poured into the life of a faithful missionary. Toronto Bible College for sixty-four years has been blessed of God in its ministry. Its graduates serve in more than fifty different countries. There are six hundred of them in Canada and three hundred and fifty in other countries in full time Christian service, and hundreds more of them in lay life and service in the churches. It is most gratifying to be associated in one way or another with Toronto Bible College where Christian young people receive a positive interpretation and teaching of the Word of God. We would solicit your active interest in this ministry. William Inrig President [Heading 2.4] 3. Help Me, O Lord [Verse 1] Help me, O Lord, the God of my salvation! I have no hope, no refuge but in Thee; Help me to make this perfect consecration. In life or death Thine evermore to be. [Verse 2] Help me, O Lord, to keep my pledge unbroken! Guard Thou my ways, my thoughts, my tongue, my heart; Help me to trust the word which Thou hast spoken. That from Thy paths my feet may ne'er [ never ] depart. [Verse 3] Help me, O Lord, when sore temptations press me! Oh, lift the clouds that hide Thee from my sight! Help me, O Lord, when anxious cares distress me, To look beyond, where all is calm and bright. [Verse 4] Help me, O Lord! My strength is only weakness; Thine, Thine the power by which alone I live; Help me each day to bear the cross with meekness. Till Thou at last the promised crown shalt give.
