To you, who for refuge to Jesus have fled?" [verse 2] "When thro' the deep waters I call thee to go Thy rivers of sorrow shall not over-flow; For I will be with thee thy trials to bless, And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress, And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress." [Heading 4] [LBI school song] School Song [verse 1] L. B. I., we'll ever cherish Precious years we spent with thee, Learning lessons from the Master Of salvation full, and free; Precious times of sweet communion, Friendships formed, and victories won, As we've borne each others burdens To our God, through Christ His Son. [verse 2] Lord, we pray that Thou wilt teach us. As together we prepare For the task which Thou hast purposed And the burdens we shall bear; May we answer when Thou callest, May we hold Thy banner high, May we not forget the lessons We have learned at L. B. I. [verse 3] Then we pray, as we are scattered Far and near as Thou dost call, Each to tell abroad Thy message Of redeeming grace for all, That our fellowship together Be unmarred by time and space, May we still hold sweet communion, Meeting round Thy throne of grace. Young people are trained for the mission field, for the ministry and for work in their own churches. Its courses are standard and its work thorough. College graduates may com- lete the course in two years, all others in three years. Nearly all these young people graduated tonight will go into some form, of service for Christ. The Institute depends on the gifts of Christian people to carry on the work. Any gift, large or small, is acceptable and will be used carefully in the work. A deficiency for this year must be met. Will you help us, HOW? Your investment in young life will bring large dividends in eternity. Yours in Him, J. W. MAHOOD ***** This is the end of the e-text.
