Beal Technical Auditorium London, Ontario [Page 2 of 4] [Heading 3] [hymn title] WE HAVE HEARD THE JOYFUL SOUND [verse 1] We have heard the joyful sound: Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Spread the tidings all around: Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Bear the news to ev'ry land, climb the sleeps and cross the waves: Onward! 'tis our Lord's command; Jesus saves! Jesus saves! [verse 2] Sing above the battle strife, Jesus saves! Jesus saves! By His death and endless life, Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Sing it softly thro' the gloom, when the heart for mercy craves; Sing in triumph o'er the tomb, Jesus saves! Jesus saves! [verse 3] Give the winds a mighty voice, Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Let the nations now rejoice, Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Shout salvation full and free, highest hills and deepest caves; This our song of victory, Jesus saves! Jesus saves! [Heading 3a] [hymn title] HOW FIRM A FOUNDATION [verse 1] How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord, Is laid for your faith in his excellent word! What more can He say than to you He hath said, To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled, To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled? [verse 2] The soul hat on Jesus still leans for repose, I will not, I will not desert to His foes; That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake. I'll never, no never, no never forsake, I'll never, no never, no never forsake! In the three course, 46 will have been graduated. Many of these are already in Christian service; two in China; two in Alberta pulpits; five in Ontario pulpits; one in North Africa air service; one in air service training, two in the Medical Missionary Institute getting ready for missionary work in Africa; one Day school graduate and two evening school students are leaving in a few days for a city near Montreal to study French, under appointment to the Sudan Mission; one (under graduate in Japanese work in California; one a member of the L.B.I. faculty, and several others in war service, while others expect to enter missionary service when the war is over. One of those graduated tonight will leave for Homo Mission work in New Brunswick this summer; two will enter the ministry; one will enter evangelistic work; others will engage in Daily Vacation Bible School work; and others will work in their own churches. The Institute does not charge tuition. We depend upon the gifts of Christian people for maintenance. A goodly number now contribute monthly. But to maintain our standard of efficiency and keep abreast with the increase in the student body we need a much larger number who will do this. Will you kindly place an offering in the envelope tonight, and also indicate how much you will give monthly or yearly to help this all important part of the Lord’s work.Thank you. J. W.
