His was the Divine Imperative. GO YE! We believe that at no time in the history of the world has obedience to the Divine Commission been more vital. A billion have never heard of the Lord Jesus Christ. How is He to reap the reward of His sufferings if His children do not make Him known? We present to our students this challenge. We hold it ever before them. It is a goal towards which we press. Under the direction of God's Spirit we seek to train and equip our students. We not only give them the Bible as their text book and guide book but we also instruct them in such other subjects as will enable them to deal helpfully with the natives. Tropical Diseases, Anthropology, Missionary Methods, Comparative Religions, Anatomy and First Aid are part of their equipment. WE BELIEVE IN MISSIONS! WE WORK FOR MISSIONS! — Dr. E. It seeks, therefore, to equip the student with a practical knowledge of the Word as a foundation upon which to build in life. IS ACCREDITED by the Evangelical Teacher Training Association, an organization established to bind evangelical schools together in fellowship and standardization. IS RECOGNIZED by the Department of Veterans Affairs. About fifty of our students are receiving benefits therefrom. IS CONTROLLED by a Board of Directors which is interdenominational in character and is composed of consecrated Christian businessmen and ministers of the Word of God. IS HOPING that it may "stretch out the stakes of its tent". The need of new buildings, chapel, and dormitories is great. It is sincerely hoped that progress may be made in the expansion of the School's programme in the very near future. We are asking our friends to pray with us to this end. Winslow, Chairman of the Board of Directors [ In bold letters] Looking back, we have thanked God many times during the year that our need has been met, and we are grateful for the contributions of money, time, varied talent, and last but not least, plain everyday hard work, all very essential to the progress of the Institute. These contributions have come from Christian friends, from churches and church organizations, from former students and in a surprisingly large degree from the students themselves. There has been a spirit of whole-hearted harmony and pull together that has made the year at L.B.I, a most enjoyable one for all. The Directors pay tribute to the President and faculty for the manner in which they have carried on. Special speakers who have addressed the School during the year form a pretentious list of visitors and their talks, we feel, have inspired the students to form and strengthen resolves to make their young lives count for God and the extension of His Kingdom. We look forward with confidence to the growth and development of the School. Plans have been held up by extreme conditions, but we are sure that in the Lord's good time these will go forward. We know that when that time comes and the call goes forth, the Lord's stewards will not be found wanting. Please pray that the leaders of the Institute may have wisdom in these very important matters. [ The following words are outside the box mentioned above. ] Do we have your name on our Mailing List?
