There is a cross in the middle and an open Bible on the bottom of it with shining rays from the Bible going outwards. The letters L, B and I are located underneath the Bible. The upper part of the logo is surrounded with the words "SEND OUT THY LIGHT". ] [ PAGE TWO ] [ Heading 2 ] You should know... THAT the Bible Institute was, in the last generation, and continues to be, the greatest single factor in the furtherance of Evangelical Christianity. During the past twenty years, the Bible Institutes have more than doubled their enrollments. From these schools have gone forth young people who today are ministering in every field of Christian service. The uniqueness of this movement lies in its Biblical basis, its Evangelical fervour, and its Missionary outlook. A Biblical concept of life is foundational to true education — "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom", and thus the Institute movement has established in the hearts and minds of multitudes of young people this only sure foundation for life and service. THAT never in Canada's history have so many prospective servants of the Lord been in Bible training schools at one time. The London Bible Institute has been raised up of God to share in this ministry of preparation. THAT the student body of the London Bible Institute is made up of young people from various occupational fields. Some are graduates of secretarial schools, others are graduate nurses, many were active in business life, and other spheres, but all have realized the call of God to service. Of the 1948 graduating class or thirty, eight are engaged in Pastoral work, three are on the foreign field, nine are doing home missionary work, seven are engaged in further training in schools and colleges throughout the country. THAT there is no substitute for adequate and specialized training to meet the demands of the crisis of our day. The education emphasis of the London Bible Institute is both academic and practical. It offers three year courses which will equip the servant of God spiritually, and vocationally, to fill his or her place. THAT the city of London, so strategically located in Western Ontario, is the centre of a field in which the student may find ample opportunity to put into practice those things which have "been learned. Dozens of little towns and villages in the immediate outskirts are being reached by the Institute students. Practical work assignments require diligent study, earnest prayer, and the expectation that God will attend with power and blessing the ministry of the spoken Word. THAT you can help in this ministry of training young people to handle the Word of Life, by your prayerful interest and gifts.
