This question which Pilate put to the Lord Jesus at his trial was more than a mere jibe after our Lord said, "for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth." Pilate was expressing the hopeless feeling of his own soul — he had not arrived at Truth in his lifetime. God is the source and end of truth and He has revealed His Truth to us in His Son and in His Word — particularly the "Word of Truth", which is the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. As men are regenerated they become spiritual men and by the ministry of the Holy Spirit they come to an appreciation of the Truth of God. The aim of the London Bible Institute and Theological Seminary is to train young men and women in the "Truth" of God's Word, so that they will be able to interpret life from the Christian viewpoint and then relate themselves to the task of world evangelization as God appoints them to service. We know that you are also interested in the spread of the Gospel and solicit your prayer interest and financial support that our classrooms shall continue to equip young life for full- time Christian service. And the servant of the Lord must not strive but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient. In meek- ness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknow- ledging of the truth: and that they may recover them- selves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. 2 Timothy 2:24 - 26. It will be two stories in height with a full basement. The building will measure approximately 115' x 58'. On the main floor will be located administrative and faculty offices and a Chapel seating about 450. Plans include the sectioning off of the Chapel by moveable doors so that it may be used for one large and two smaller classrooms. [ The photograph of the new building in the middle of the spread with the encouragement in the bottom that says, " INVEST IN THE TRAINING OF CHRISTIAN YOUTH" ] The second floor plan will include an enlarged new library and a reference room for research and study, and four medium-sized classrooms. The basement plan will provide dining hall, kitchen and storage space, and also common rooms for the men and women students. Plans for the building are still in the development stage, and the cost is estimated at approximately $200.000. We have opened a Building Fund and are inviting our friends to contribute toward this project so that the work may begin on a sound financial basis. [ PAGE SEVEN ] [ Heading 7 ] "GLORIOUS THINGS OF THEE ARE SPOKEN" [ Verse 1 ] Glorious things of thee are spoken. Zion, city of our God; He whose word cannot be broken Formed thee for His own abode. On the Rock of Ages founded, What can shake thy sure repose? With salvation's walls surrounded, Thou mayst smile at all thy foes. [ Verse 2 ] Blest inhabitants of Zion, Washed in the Redeemer's blood, Jesus, whom their souls rely on. Makes them kings and priests to God. 'Tis [ This ] His love His people raises Over self to reign as kings; And as priests, His solemn praises Each for a thankoffering brings. [ Verse 3 ] Saviour, if of Zion's city I. through grace, a member am. Let the world deride or pity. I will glory in Thy Name. Fading is the worldling's pleasure. All his boasted pomp and show; Solid joys and lasting treasure None but Zion's children know. John Newton, 1725-1807. [ Heading 7a ] New Building Purchased An impetus has been given to our building expansion plans by the purchase of a large, well-situated home at 186 Queens Avenue, about 100 yards from the Institute. This building is a three storey structure with 13 spacious rooms. It will be sufficiently large to accommodate our women students who have been living outside the Institute Dormitories. This is a significant forward move and we are thankful to the Lord that His blessing is evident in our expanding ministry. [ PAGE EIGHT ] [ Heading 8 ] Recent Missionary Appointments During the past few months the Lord has opened doors to mis- sionary service for 14 more of our recent graduates. Some have already left for their respective fields. Others are purchasing equipment and preparing to leave shortly. It is with joy that we bid them God-speed. We covet your prayers for each of them that each may go in the power of God for a fruitful ministrv in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ.
