Image of the crest of London College of Bible & Missions, 1963. The image shows the new crest of the school as it first appears on the cover page of LCBM news, April 1963 and in Ambassador (1964), p.9.en_US
Against a white field, the colors of the school, delphinium blue and gold are artistically blended. The upper left section of the shield carries the open Bible, with the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. The torch in the upper right section of the shield denotes learning. The cross upon the globe reminds us of the school mission to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the whole world. Surmounting the shield is the crown. The crucified Christ is also the crowned Christ, and those who bear the cross after Him will be rewarded with the crown of life. The motto, taken from Psalm 43:3, means “Send out thy light”.en_US
The crest was adopted by the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors on Dec. 18, 1962.en_US
